Daniel "Diamondprox" Reshetnikov is seeking to move to another team, he said in a post on Facebook on Wednesday.
In the post, Diamondprox goes into details about his activities during the offseason so far, including a break away from League of Legends.
He also indicated that the Gambit organization went through a tumultuous period of attempting to sell it's LCS spot, with sponsorship deals and sales in the works. Diamondprox said that as a result of the organization's awkward situation, the poor team atmosphere during the summer split of the EU LCS and the departure of Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet, he decided to begin looking elsewhere for a place to play.
"[For the] first time in my career I was looking for a new team to join," he explained. "It was actually very interesting to talk with a lot of [people] and to see the difference in all the offers. I learned a lot in the past 20 days about how teams work outside of Gambit. I want to say [thanks] to all the org's which were interested in me - I didn't expect so much attention at all."
At this time, Diamondprox's future is not clear. His official departure from Gambit Gaming is not confirmed, but he promised an update as soon as things were solidified.
"I'll make another post about the team I join, right after I sign up and will be allowed to talk about it."
In a secondary post, Diamondprox thanked his present and former teammates, notably the members of the original Moscow 5 team, and reflected on the highs and lows of his lengthy career thus far.
Diamondprox is a legend of the European competitive scene, exploding onto the international stage alongside the Moscow 5 team which dominated throughout Season 2. He has spent almost his entire career on Moscow 5 and Gambit Gaming.
Recognized as an innovator in the jungle, and known for his aggressive and mechanically skilled play, Diamondprox's recent play has been inconsistent. He finished the 2015 summer season with a 1.93 KDA in 18 matches, having his best games on Gragas, Rek'sai and Nidalee.
