Dioud released from paiN Gaming
Dioud announced that he is currently a free agent after the Brazilian organization decided not to renew his contract for the coming year in a post on Facebook.
"I do not have bad feelings against paiN Gaming for this decision," he said in the post. "My contract is over and they decided to not renew it. It's totally their right and I'm fine with it! Let's move forward now and I wish them the best for the future!"
A veteran of the European competitive League of Legends scene since 2011, Dioud played on several teams, including Team-LDLC, Against All Authority and Millenium. He moved to Brazil to join paiN Gaming as their starting support in January.
Despite paiN Gaming's decision to move forward without Dioud, he had nothing but good things to say about his decision to move to Brazil and compete for paiN, and expressed sincere thanks to his teammates, the organization and fans.
"My decision to come [to Brazil] is my greatest pride and my biggest success," he explained. "I've met incredible people, that taught me a lot of things in a professional way or [as] a human being. I grew up by a lot from this awesome experience ... I came in this country and this team without big exploit in my life neither in my career but this year of 2015 was a succession of surprises and success. "
During Dioud's tenure in Brazil, paiN Gaming rose to the top of the CBLOL League, taking first in the 2015 Winter Playoffs before securing a spot at the 2015 World Championship by defeating Kaos Latin Gamers 3-0 in the International Wildcard Tournament - Chile.
At Worlds, paiN surpassed expectations by finishing Group A with a record of 2-4, becoming the most successful wildcard team to ever attend. Dioud finished the event with a 3.1 KDA and 84.6% kill participation, the second highest among all supports.
