Team SoloMid signs YellOwStaR as new support
Team SoloMid has signed Bora "YellOwStaR" Kim as their new support player.
YellOwStaR comes to TSM after two years on Fnatic, where he helped the team to a perfect, 18-win season during the 2015 Summer Split. At worlds, YellOwStaR scored an average 3.32 KDA, with a total of 115 assists over 12 games that led to their eventual top-four finish.
Well known as an unflappable shotcaller for his team, YellOwStar was a driving force behind building Fnatic's extremely successful 2015 roster, and was widely credited with helping the squad's rookies acclimate to the professional scene.
"It may be surprising to you, considering there is a rivalry between EU and NA, but the reasons of why I decided to join TSM are because I'm a player who has always wanted to play at the highest level," YellOwStaR said in the announcement video. "Looking at the roster, I know it's going to be a very promising one."
YellOwStar announced he was leaving Fnatic for a then-unnamed NA team earlier this month. He attended three world championships as part of the team, and was named the MVP of the 2015 EU LCS Summer Split.
"A lot of people think I might be retiring soon, but this is not the case," he said. "I'm going to show you why I want to join TSM and what I can do, what I can bring to the team."
The team's full roster is as follows:
- Kevin "Hauntzer " Yarnell
- Denni "Svenskeren" Johnsen
- Soren "Bjergsen" Berg
- Yilang "Doublelift" Peng
- Bora "YellOwStaR" Kim
