Meteos to replace Hai for 2015 All-Star Los Angeles
William "Meteos" Hartman will be the starting jungler for the North American LCS team at the 2015 All-Star Los Angeles event, replacing Hai "Hai" Du Lam.
In an official press release, Cloud9 indicated that although Hai was fan voted into the event, the team had decided that his attendance would negatively impact their preparation for the upcoming IEM Cologne, which is set for Dec. 16-21, and thus Hai will not attend.
The second place jungler, Lee "Rush" Yoon-jae, will also be unable to attend, as he joined Cloud9 on Nov. 19, and as such will not attend for the same reasons.
"Unfortunately, the time commitment required for either Hai or Rush to attend the ASE is simply too disruptive to the teams preparation for IEM Cologne as the ASE runs for four days of public play and also includes extra preparation time off-stream," Cloud9 expalined in their press release.
As the jungler who received the third most votes, it now falls to Meteos to represent North America for the duration of the event. He will join Marcus "Dyrus" Hill, Soren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng and Zaqueri "Aphromoo" Black on Team NA LCS.
This is the second withdrawal to affect the 2015 All-Star Los Angeles, with Enrique "xPeke" Cedeno-Martinezceding his spot on the EU LCS team on Nov. 29. He has since been replaced by Henrik "Froggen" Hansen.
All-Star Los Angeles 2015 is set for Dec. 10-13.
